Attorney: Summerville High student arrested after writing about gun taking online courses

The Summerville High School freshman who was suspended and arrested last month after writing about getting a gun to kill a neighbor's dinosaur as a class assignment has chosen to take online courses rather return to class, his lawyer said Thursday. Alex Stone, 16, had permission to resume classes on Aug. 25 but has instead enrolled in VirtualSC, a free program of the S.C.
