    NYPD sergeants union head resigns after FBI raid

    A New York City police union leader who’s clashed with officials over incendiary tweets and hard-line tactics agreed to resign on Tuesday after federal agents raided his home and the union’s office. Sergeants Benevolent Association president Ed Mullins had been asked to resign by the executive board of the union, according to the SBA. “Like all of us, Ed Mullins is entitled to the presumption of innocence, and we ask you to withhold judgement until all the facts have been established,” the executive board wrote in a statement sent to union members.
