    No charges to be filed against Concord school officials over reports of teacher misconduct

    The state attorney general's office will not be charging anyone in the Concord School District's administration after an investigation into how it handled reports of misconduct. Howie Leung, who was employed at Concord High School and Rundlett Middle School, faces sexual assault charges in Massachusetts. He was arrested in 2019 and pleaded not guilty in the case. He did not face charges in New Hampshire. After Leung's arrest, parents spoke out at multiple meetings with the Concord School Board, wanting to know who knew what and when within the district concerning Leung's alleged behavior.     AG: No charges in Concord school investigation

    The state Attorney General’s office announced it did not find evidence to support criminal charges after investigating how Concord School District officials handled reports of sexual misconduct by former special education teacher Primo “Howie” Leung. “After a review of the materials obtained, this Office has determined that the evidence does not support criminal charges against the Concord School District’s administration,” Assistant Attorney General Heather Cherniske wrote in the May 27 letter to Superintendent Kathleen Murphy. The Attorney General’s Office obtained and reviewed thousands of pages of documents through grand jury subpoenas, according to the letter. The investigation began in October ...
