Prosecutors decline to bring charges against Melbourne couple who recorded police arresting teen

Citing insufficient evidence, prosecutors said obstruction charges will not be pursued against a Melbourne couple arrested after recording officers in a public parking lot attempting to take a distraught teen into custody. Melbourne police officials, while acknowledging the Brevard state attorney’s decision, said the officers' "actions were reasonable under the circumstances." The officers at the time said the couple was agitating the teen and too close to them. Melbourne police arrested Anecia Stern, 22, and JeBryan Robinson, 30, Aug. 2 and charged each with obstruction without violence. They were booked into the Brevard County Jail Complex, according to police records. ...
