During a search of ZAUDER’s residence conducted on Monday, May 1, 2012, a computer containing hundreds of images and videos of minor children engaging in sexually explicit conduct was seized.*** ZAUDER is charged with one count of possessing child pornography, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000 or twice the gross gain or loss from the offense.Mr. Bharara praised the outstanding investigative work of the FBI. He added that the investigation is continuing.The prosecution is being handled by the Office’s General Crimes Unit. At the apartment, Zauder acknowledged to FBI agents that an Apple Macintosh desktop computer in the apartment was his. The agents returned later in the day with a search warrant that authorized them to search and seize the computer, authorities said. A search of the computer turned up videos in a folder called “Evan Zauder/ Downloads” that contained several videos depicting children engaged in sex acts, authorities said.

Agents discovered graphic videos on Zauder's bedroom computer showing young boys engaged in sex acts, a federal complaint said. One video found on Zauder's computer showed a boy potentially as young as 7-years-old, according to the complaint....Zauder has a history of working with young people and studied education at New York University. He is a former youth director at Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck and a former part-time youth director at Hebrew Institute of Riverdale in New York City.

New York Daily News: Teacher at New Jersey's Yeshivat Noam charged with kiddie porn possession and relationship with 14-year-old boy (Jan 22 2013) A former New Jersey teacher faces 27 years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to possessing child pornography and having sex with a minor. Evan Zauder, 27, has been held without bail since his arrest in May. He was charged with possessing kiddie porn after the FBI found hundreds of images of underage boys engaged in sex acts on his home computer in Manhattan. He was also charged with having a seven-month affair in 2011 with a 14-year-old New Jersey boy. Sources said the victim was not a student.
