Virginian-Pilot: Currituck teachers charged in separate sex offenses (July 30 2013) Deborah Dawn Underwood, 33, of Moyock, was charged with three sex offenses involving one student, said Currituck County Chief Deputy Matt Beickert. Underwood worked as a substitute teacher in Currituck County during the 2011-12 school year, he said. School officials reported May 28 that there had been inappropriate behavior between a teacher and a student during that time, he said. Underwood was released on a $1,000 bond.
