Authorities have identified no other student victims. At the time of Amato’s arrest, her personal Facebook page showed photos of her driving a car accompanied by several young males who appeared to be students, based on messages posted to the photos. Alongside one image, Amato posted, “Fun with with these kids!” In the photo, four youth passengers were flashing their middle fingers at the camera. On another similar photo, Amato posted, “My fav students!!” Amato’s Facebook content is no longer viewable to the public.

Sexual assault charges were upheld against Stephanie Amato, 30, a special education teacher at Ethan Allen School, after a preliminary hearing on Friday. oldAt the hearing, Amato’s 14-year-old male victim testified that he and Amato had sexual intercourse about 10 times, including oral sex, at her parents’ home in Northeast Philly, in an alleyway blocks from the school near Harbison Avenue and Levick Road, and in a park, the Inquirer reported. He also said Amato plied him with wine at her parent’s home.

Listed: More than 100 PA educators who lost their certifications in 2017

In 2017, about 80 Pennsylvania educators had their state certifications suspended or revoked. About 80 more surrendered their certifications in the face of disciplinary charges. That's according to a database that the Pennsylvania Department of Education posts on its website. The list includes a former York County School of Technology teacher who was charged with sexually assaulting two male students.
