    Sheriff’s Office revises statement on Simpsonville deputy-involved shooting

    Greenville County Sheriff’s Office officials retracted a portion of their statement in regards to an incident in Simpsonville last month where a homeowner was shot by deputy. On Monday, the sheriff’s office released body camera footage and the 911 call related to the deputy-involved shooting that happened on Eastcrest Drive on June 14. In the Sheriff’s Office’s Critical Incident Community Briefing video released Monday on their Youtube channel, Capt. Tim Brown with the sheriff’s office’s ‘Office of Professional Standards,’ said the first deputy arrived on-scene just after midnight and noticed movement inside the home.
