    AG Lawsuit: Company took advantage of teacher shortage and foreign educators

    Recruiting educators has become a business in New Mexico thanks to more than 700 vacancies across the state. Now one of those businesses is facing a lawsuit from the attorney general claiming it scammed foreign teachers they got to come here by making fraudulent claims they could get work visas for the teachers. “I believe that out of an opportunity this company decided to start exploiting teachers by misrepresenting what the services were that were being provided,” Attorney General Hector Balderas said.
