Kearney police officer submits guilty plea to felony charges of misconduct with a child

Officer Alan Hale has submitted guilty pleas for two second-degree felonies. The Kearney police officer faced felony charges for inappropriate misconduct with a child. Hale submitted the pleas on Nov. 2, 2021. Hale was initially charged with two counts of first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy and one count of sexual misconduct or attempt involving a child less than 15. Prosecutors say he assaulted three children between January 2002 and December 2005 at a house near Cameron, Missouri.
