Farmington Hills officer charged in child porn case

A 20-year veteran Farmington Hills Police officer has been suspended without pay after he was criminally charged Saturday with several counts of being in possession of child pornography. Matthew Parsons, 48, allegedly used his personal electronic devices to possess child pornography, according to a release from the Farmington Hills Police Department. Farmington Hills Police Chief Chuck Nebus said in a statement that it was "shocking and devastating" to learn of the investigation.
