A female teacher is behind bars after she allegedly used alcohol to get sexual contact with a teenage boy at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show & Rodeo. Michelle Falcon Garza surrendered to Mercedes police after being accused of furnishing alcohol to a minor and indecency with a child ... The 16-year-old's mother said Garza allegedly lured the boy into her trailer and plied him with alcohol. The mother later discovered what had happened and contacted police.

Monitor (26 March 2011): Woman accused of having sexual contact with teen male

Monitor said:

Michelle Falcon Garza, 32, turned herself in to Mercedes police Friday and was formally charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact and providing alcoholic beverages to a minor ... Soon after the incident, the mother found marks on the teen’s neck, grounded him and took his cell phone, Maldonado said. ”When she checked the phone, she found and received messages that seemed suspicious and answered them as if she was her son until she confirmed her suspicions and contacted us,” [Police Chief Olga] Maldonado said.

Valley Central (29 March 2011): Mother claims teacher who molested her son was family friend

Valley Central said:

‘Tina’, as we will call the victim’s mom, said she always kept a close eye on her 16-year-old son. So when he disobeyed her and did not sleep at friend’s trailer while they were at the Mercedes Livestock show she immediately grounded him. "His cell phone started going off,” ‘Tina’ said. “I started looking at the messages and I saw who they were coming from. I noticed they were from a friend of mine." ‘Tina’ said she was curious as to why her friend was texting her son. She said she sent a few messages back and had her worst fears confirmed. ‘Tina’ said Michelle Falcon Garza gave her son alcohol and then fondled him in her trailer.
