The New Jersey substitute teacher who was arrested on charges she sexually assaulted a 16-year-old student was accused Tuesday of abusing a second boy, police say. Authorities have accused 21-year-old Linda Hardan, of Passaic County, of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old eighth grader at a Haledon school. Hardan was arraigned on aggravated assault, sexual assault and child endangerment charges. She is being held on $300,000 bail, according to The Record. A judge ordered she undergo a psychological evaluation to determine if she was a danger to herself or others, The Record says.

21-Year-Old N.J. Teacher Undergoes Psych Evaluation After Sexually Assaulting Two Students

Linda Hardan, 21, was out on $200,000 bail after being arrested for the sexual assault of a male student at Manchester Regional High School, where she was working. On Tuesday, a psychological evaluation was ordered for Hardan after it was revealed that she sexually assaulted another student, two years younger than the first.


NorthJersey.com reported that Hardan met with the student last month at an undisclosed location in Paterson, where she engaged in sexual activity with him. Hardan also “sent sexually explicit text messages to the student several times between Oct. 15 and Nov. 21,” according to Passaic county prosecutor Gyselle DaSilva.


Two weeks ago, Hardan was originally arrested and charged with having sex with a 16-year-old student. It was discovered shortly after that she had sent explicit text messages to a second 16-year-old student. ​
