Marysville teacher arrested on suspicion of having sex with 15-year-old student Marysville police arrested Laura Nicole Lasek of Yuba City on Friday. She was charged with oral copulation with a person under 16 and sexual intercourse with a person under 16. According to a news release from Marysville police, officials at Thomas E. GUILTY Ex-teacher pleads no contest to statutory rape of student July 20, 2015 A former Marysville teacher admitted Monday to the statutory rape of a student younger than 16. Laura Nicole Lasek, 27, pleaded no contest in Yuba County Superior Court to felony counts of unlawful sex with a minor and oral copulation of a minor child. The plea was in exchange for a sentence of no state prison time. She is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 31. On that day, if a judge accepts the plea, Lasek could be sentenced to up to one year in jail for each count or be placed on probation. Lasek was a 26-year-old teacher at Thomas E Mathews Community School in Marysville when she engaged in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student from Nov. 1, 2014-Jan. 31, 2015, Deputy District Attorney Shiloh Sorbello told Judge Julia Scrogin. She had oral sex and sexual intercourse with the boy in a car while in a church parking lot and had oral sex with him in a classroom at school, Sorbello said. After the hearing, Sorbello said there were no other students in the classroom when the oral sex occurred in a closet area during the school day. "Is this what you did?" Scrogin asked Lasek.
