She immediately resigned when Denison ISD administrators confronted her about the relationship in May...but denied any wrongdoing until a video of Bollinger and the student surfaced. Former Denison teacher arrested for improper relationship with student A former Denison ISD teacher was arrested after police say she admitted to having an improper relationship with one of her students. Some of those encounters reportedly happened in the classroom. ... An affidavit states that Bollinger resigned after she was confronted by Denison ISD administrators in May. Bollinger didn't admit to having a sexual relationship with the student until after rumors surfaced in June that there was a video of the two having sex. It states that the day she resigned, she picked up the teen from church and drove him to a local hotel to have sex. ... The affidavit also states Bollinger also bought an iPhone for the teen in order for them to communicate. She told police that she also let the teen use that phone to film them having sex, but authorities say when they confiscated the phone from the teen, he said he'd deleted the video. It also states that authorities found several letters between Bollinger and the student, including hall passes that Bollinger wrote to get the student out of class. Former Denison teacher sentenced for improper relationship with student Former Denison teacher Julie Bollinger was sentenced Wednesday to 60 days in jail and five years probation for her improper relationship with a student while a teacher at the high school. Bollinger, 34, pleaded guilty to the charge in December 2014. She will not have to register as a sex offender because the victim was 17 at the time of the relationship. ...
