Jennifer Fichter resigned from her job at Robinswood Middle School in Orange County in December 2008.​

Her resignation came one month after a fellow teacher filed a complaint accusing her of violating the code of ethics. According to an Orange County Schools internal report, Fichter was turned in by a teacher with whom she'd allegedly been discussing her feelings for an eighth grade male student.​

​

Fitcher reportedly told that teacher "she felt as though the student was her boyfriend and that he made her melt."​

New documents show a Polk County high school teacher who’s behind bars facing sex charges has been under fire for inappropriate behavior with a student in another district in 2008. The allegations stem from an investigation at Robinswood Middle School in Orlando where Jennifer Fichter taught. ​

She resigned from her teaching position there in December 2008 amid the investigation that includes references of Fichter's strange adoration for the student. He made her “melt,†a witness claimed Fichter said and she even had dreams about him. ​

​

After her resignation, the report states that Fichter contacted another teacher at the school, saying she believed she was being investigated for having sexual intercourse with the student and that a text message she sent to the student may have been taken out of context. Fichter told the teacher the rumor may have been started by the girlfriend of the male student. She even blamed her sister for the texting with male students. A co-worker of Fichter's says the teacher made it clear boys were her favorite.​

The Orange County District said it contacted both law enforcement and the Department of Children and Families, but no charges were filed.​

​

The new records show the 29-year-old allowed students to hang out in her Robinswood classroom without permission, and that she told another teacher that an eighth-grade student made her melt and that she dreamed about him.​
