KCRA: Hooker's victim says teacher took advantage during emotional time (July 17 2013)

The victim of a former Modesto teacher told the judge during an impact statement in court on Wednesday that James Hooker took advantage of her when she was going through an emotional time, the divorce of her parents. She said she kept their relationship a secret because she wanted to protect Hooker's wife and children, and came forward only after news broke that Hooker left his wife for a former student at Enochs High School, because she realized Hooker was a repeat offender and a sexual predator.​
