In a criminal complaint, Mellinger noted several "inappropriate comments and requests" made by Mullins. Mullins told the girl, "You're very pretty in the face and have a great body... That normally means you're hot..." and "Some of those holes in your jeans always made me wonder what you looked like without anything on..." and "Just for the record, me calling you hot is a very nice way of me meaning other things ... I think you can guess," according to the complaint. Mullins said in the messages, "It has been a fantasy of mine to get you alone for a while I must say..." and then "You should send me a pic ... cause I've wanted to see you without clothes on for a looooooong time ... I'm not going to show anyone ... I just really wanna see you ... cause you're sexy as hell ... those jeans you always wore with the holes in em always turned me on..." "U don't have to ... I'll just fantasize," he told her, the complaint said. Mellinger interviewed Mullins Wednesday afternoon at the sheriff's department after reviewing the messages. Mullins told Mellinger he sent the messages from his cellphone. "Mullins confessed to each and every message contained in the aforementioned Facebook Messenger print-out," Mellinger wrote in the complaint. Mullins told the detective the girl was a student in his class at Parkersburg South High from October to December. The detective asked Mullins what his intentions would be if he met the girl outside of a school environment, to which he replied "I'm just not real sure" what he'd do with her, the complaint said.

Dustin "Dusty" Mullins of Ravenswood was in Jackson County Magistrate Court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing. Mullins, 22, was initially charged with use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor, solicitation of a minor via computer and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony. County Prosecutor Kenny Skeen dropped three felony charges. Mullins faces a single felony count of solicitation of a minor via computer.
