Madison County Deputy Charged With Murder

An off-duty Madison County sheriff's deputy has been arrested on murder charges, according to a media release from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. Winford Adams III was arrested after a Sunday domestic incident by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, the release says. The ACCPD was called to the 6000 block of Old Jefferson Road in Clarke County about a shooting, the release says. They found a man, 26, shot multiple times.
