    Derek Jones, sheriff's deputy and school resource officer at Northumberland High School, Heathsville, Virginia, sexual relationship with female student
    Roger Talley, teacher at Walnut Avenue Elementary School, Chino, California, investigation of committing lewd acts on a child and making criminal threats

    On July 5, more than a year after he was arrested, a Superior Court judge granted Talley's request for a factual innocence motion. The ruling means Talley is cleared of the crime, said Marc Grossman, one of the lawyers who represented the former elementary school teacher. ​

    When Talley was granted a motion for factual innocence the court ordered that all evidence of the case be destroyed, including legal records and arrest information.​

    It is very rare to get such an order from our courts -- it usually is an indication that the police & prosecution bungled things in major way.​
