After years of no contact with Jeremy, I found all this out when I returned to Louisiana to attend my grandmother's funeral. I wish I had an explanation for Jeremy's actions. But, unfortunately, molestation runs in the family. I was molested by my brother, his uncle, for 4 years. Jeremy did have a hard life, beginning with a mother who deserted him when he was a baby and being abused by his father. Jeremy's mother came back in the picture when he was a toddler and only brought more misery to him with the man she married. Jeremy was always a very disturbed and unhappy young man, but, I never saw this coming. I am saddened and my heart goes out to the victims, if my nephew did in fact do what he is accused of. :-(
Disap Disappointed aunt, I can assure you that these allegations were NOT true. I did plea to the charges ONLY after the attorney my mother brought to me with the assurance that he would fight for me decided he would not interview a single witness, conduct no interview, and allow the detective in the case to repeatedly make false statements under oath in an apparent effort to conduct some form of vigilante justice while hiding behind the shield of the badge. These people all displayed the truly sad shape of our judicial system. My student has repeatedly made the same accusation against numerous people, and somehow her 13 different statements to 9 different people over a 23 day span (4 of which name an unnamed boy of about 20 years old as the suspect) were believed by this "veteran" detective and left unchallenged by my attorney. It was only after I disciplined her for sharing her family drama at camp that she flipped her suspect identity to me, less than 15 hours after her last statement to another witness about the unnamed boy. This young lady has been allowed to use the legal system to accuse males of sexual abuse in repeated attempts to address the real tragedy, the repeated chaotic episodes of denial and rejection from her own parents. Furthermore, some food for thought....how can she make an accusation against her own father during this same investigation, yet he never sees any criminal prosecution as I did and her previously accused abuser from Nov. 2012 did? Why did the detective summarily dismiss this accusation if she was trustworthy? This investigation was a fabricated witch hunt conducted by people who do not care who gets hurt in the process. What you did not hear is that this detective went to my 12 year old son's school and interviewed my son without any prior parental contact from me or my wife. He also interviewed another 16 year old student for 30-40 minutes, repeatedly aggressively accusing her of lying when she repeatedly told her that my accuser was lying and I had never done anything to her or anyone else. And I am the abuser? As for my second accuser, as she told my mother via texts, she did not want me to get off on the above charges. So, she came forward to add fuel to the fire as I was now on the stake. All of a sudden, although I have NEVER watched her in Caddo Parish, she accuses me of an assault in Caddo. Well, my mother and step-father sat idly by, never correcting that record. Instead, I was accused by this alleged victim of abusing my oldest daughter, which was refuted by the Gingerbread House. I was accused of committing an abusive act at times when I was not even in this state. Thsee were all lies which I had proof via documentation. Everything I have said can be proven via documents, ironically most of which is the detective's own notes. Unfortunately, it takes money to fight charges such as these, and I did not have enough to do so. Once my attorney realized I had no more money, he bailed and moved to Pembroke Pines, FL, leaving me to fight a related charge to the second alleged victim in Desoto Parish. For the record, after I study the law during my detainement, I filed a 2-page motion and Desoto Parish dismissed the charge there. Someone finally saw the truth. Now, I am having to fight in Caddo to fix the problems that were created by the detective and my attorney. So, for those who try to judge me without any knowledge of the real facts of the case, I welcome anyone to a meeting where the true facts can be learned. If you still hate me, that's on you. But, I stand firm in the truth, knowing that I have an amazing wife, 6 fantastic children, a wonderful, loving church family, and a God that can turn all of this craziness into greatness in the end.
